Chinese Herbal Medicine

Particularly in Traditional Chinese gynecology (which dates back to 500 A.D.), the use of Chinese herbal medicine is an integral part of treatment.  Since safety is of primary concern at Florida Complete Wellness, we only use formulas that meet GMP (Good Manufacturing Process) standards and that are independently evaluated for heavy metals and bioavailability. The safety of Chinese herbal medicine has been proven for centuries and has little to no side-effects.

Based on the findings during your initial visit, an encapsulated or granular tea extract formula may be prescribed that can be modified weekly. The cost is anywhere from $15-$30 per week and will not be prescribed with the use of fertility medications.
A typical formula may contain as many as 15 different herbs which work synergistically with each other. We are often asked if a particular herb such as vitex or red raspberry leaf is beneficial for fertility. Due to the fact that in Chinese medicine it is rare to only use one herb, the answer is usually “Maybe, and only in combination with a formula that is based on your individual and unique diagnosis.”
